The company Ironwood Electronics specializing in the development and manufacture of special adapters, converters and housings, has released a test socket SBT-DC / DC-9002, designed for DC / DC converters with two rows of contacts. The new socket uses a contactor with a spring mechanism. It is designed for high currents and high temperatures.

The main parameters of the new socket:

• dimensions of the converter under test: 37 x 28 mm;
• number of contacts: 8;
• step of the contact matrix: 5.08 mm;
• force per contact: 136 g;
• current strength per contact: 25 A;
• life cycle: 250 thousand inclusions;
• operating temperature range: -55 ... 150 ºC.
