Ironwood Electronics Ironwood Electronics has recently introduced new high performance microwave socket - GT-BGA-6008. Its features are high working frequencies and extended temperature range. The new model is designed for BGA packages. The GT-BGA-6008 socket is constructed with high performance and low inductance elastomer contactor.

The socket is mounted on the target PCB with no soldering. The socket is constructed with swivel lid which incorporates compression screw with heat sink. New model can be customized up to 100 watts with modi-fied fin design on top of the screw and additional heat sink elements.

The socket incorporates a quick insertion method so that IC's can be changed out quickly.
